Jessica Berg is a literary agent at Rosecliff Literary. She leverages her extensive background as a developmental editor to champion new and emerging authors. She is actively building her list, focusing on compelling character-driven narratives with strong voices and unique settings. Known for her collaborative approach, Jessica works closely with authors to refine their manuscripts and strategically build their careers. Writers can submit their work via Query Manager. Genres I’m acquiring:

Fiction

• Commercial Fiction: Genre-influenced, accessible stories with mainstream appeal and high-concept hooks. (Dark academia, larger than life characters, intergenerational trauma, queerness in all its forms)
• Romance: Open/closed door, queer romance, gothic, vampires, and noir love stories.
• Historical Fiction: All periods are welcome as long as history isn’t the entire focus—think sweeping plots with deeper narratives.
• Mystery & Thriller: From cozy to hard-boiled, including genre mashups with paranormal or gothic elements.

Non-Fiction

• Cookbooks: Unique, modern, and fresh takes on cooking.
• Memoir: Particularly focused on military women or those adjacent to military life, with compelling voices and narratives.
