Genres I’m acquiring:
Fiction
- Commercial Fiction: Genre-influenced, accessible stories with mainstream appeal and high-concept hooks. (Dark academia, larger than life characters, intergenerational trauma, queerness in all its forms)
- Romance: Open/closed door, queer romance, gothic, vampires, and noir love stories.
- Historical Fiction: All periods are welcome as long as history isn’t the entire focus—think sweeping plots with deeper narratives.
- Mystery & Thriller: From cozy to hard-boiled, including genre mashups with paranormal or gothic elements.
Non-Fiction
- Cookbooks: Unique, modern, and fresh takes on cooking.
- Memoir: Particularly focused on military women or those adjacent to military life, with compelling voices and narratives.
While we are passionate about a wide range of genres, there are certain areas we are not currently seeking:
- Contemporary Fantasy
- Hard Science Fiction
- High Fantasy with Extensive World-Building
- Gore-centric Horror
- Formulaic Romance
- Space Opera
- Technical Non-Fiction
