C.S. Jennings is the illustrator of over two-dozen books for kids; working with publishers like Penguin

Group Books, Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, and Random House. He’s the author of Animal Band; Hello,

Texas!; Too Close Panda (Penguin, 2024); and a three-volume graphic novel series for young readers

(2024, unannounced). He illustrated the Texas Library Association Bluebonnet 2020-2021 Master List

book, From an Idea to Disney. His specialties are writing for middle-grade, graphic novels, character

design, and humor in storytelling. A Texas native, he makes his home in Austin where he hikes and bikes,
