Rachel Vincent

The official stuff:

Rachel Vincent is a mother of two grown children, a creative writing professor, and the author of more than thirty novels and assorted short fiction. Rachel writes in a variety of genres, for both teens and adults and 100% of her novels include kissing. Rachel’s books have appeared on both the USA Today and the New York Times bestseller’s list, have received starred reviews from Library Journal and Booklist, and have appeared on multiple state reading lists, YALSA’s Best Books for Young Adults and Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers lists, and the New York Public Library’s Best Books For Teens list.

Rachel is represented by Whitney Ross at High Line Literary Collective.

The random stuff:

Rachel Vincent believes that “kissy books” is an actual genre, that love can move mountains, and that chemistry is much more than an academic study. Her tropes are enemies-to-lovers, why-choose, he-falls-first, and touch-her-and-die, and the hill she’s willing to die on is that genre fiction IS literature.

Rachel speaks in parentheticals, crusades on behalf of the serial comma, and subsists entirely on coffee and kitty cuddles. In her spare time (ha!), she watches TV (and analyzes plot), plays video games (and critiques dialogue), and waters her succulents and orchids (they grow better when she tells them stories). You can find her online (links below), in class, and occasionally at a writing conference or fan convention near you! (She will be the one in costume as a novelist, no matter what the mixer theme is.)
